Models used in "The Mutations in FGFR2 Associated Craniosynostoses are Clustered in Five Structural Elements of Immunoglobulin-like Domain III of the Receptor" by D.Steinberger, G.Vriend, J.Mulliken, U.Mueller

The subunit that was modelled to map all mutation information is the first one outside the membrane. In these coordinate sets we have highly speculatively put together all three subunits, and a highly speculative transmembrane helix. We have no information regarding the presence or location of this transmembrane part, and we have no information regarding the relative orientation of the three subunits; this information is only provided to give you an idea about the relative size of things. The lipids were 'borrowed' from the PDB file 2brd. Not that these lipids provide a good membrane, but they do indicate roughly the dimensions of a membrane.

The only part of the model used in the article was the subunit facing the membrane.
