I built a perfect helix of your wildtype sequence. In the four figures below you get a bit an impression of what that helix could look like. I am sure that it will definitely noy be 100% a helix but the part with the high concentration of Aspartic acids most likely is. Not because asp is so good for helices, but as a helix it provides one big closed negative surface to the world. Something like that is not by accident. That is not how nature works.
Your FYD sequence sits at the opposite side of this negative surface.
The sequence looks like (negative residues and the FY indicated; ===== is the part that has a negative face if built as a helix):

In figure 1 we see (Nterminus is right all the time) the big red blob somewhat left of the middle. These are the negative residues among the ===='es in the alignment above. In the next figures we rotate more or less around the horizontal axis.

The blueish tyrosine sticking out middle under the red blob
is prominently visible. That is YOUR tyrosine (indicated in the
alignment above).

Now the red blob is barely visible, because we look from the rear side.
The blueuish ring sticking outbetween the two yellow ones is the
phenylalanine of your FYD motif. The tyrosine is just above it,
but as this tyr is sticking out straight into your eye, it is a bit hard
to see in this few.

Now the tyrosine is clearly visible again (sticking towards the upper right between
the two yellow ones), whereas the phe sticks straight into your eye, just underneath the tyr.
The negative residues are all sticking out in one direction
with their sidechains about 45 degrees away from the axis of the
helix in the Nterminal direction, as is always with helices.
