Material linked from bioinformatics course
Additional points:
- There is no obligatory participation (neither for seminars, nor for practicals).
But participation is highly recommended.
- There will be no grades for the practicals. The final grade is determined
entirely by your score for the exam. Answers to the questions in the
practicals will be made available at the end of each practical.
- A yellow background signifies material that might be used at the final exam.
A gray background is used for additional material that you might be
interested in, but which will not come back in the exam. Many words and terms
are hyperlinked to a Wiki. This Wiki is part of
Project HOPE. Project HOPE is meant
for medical doctors and therefore sometimes things are explained that seem
trivial to chemists. Sorry for that. Just see is as ′this Wiki is
better than no Wiki′.
- The six seminars belong together. In a way, each seminar requires that
all other seminars have already been given/followed. That is, of course, not
possible. We will therefor near the end of the semester repeat all the
seminars in a summarised version.
- Be aware that last year′s seminars are available. But, please be also
aware that this course is evolving, so last years seminars do not cover 100%
of this years material.
- All powerpoint seminars, course material, and practicals will be brushed up
before they are presented, so, do not work in advance. Just stay up-to-date
on the topics; that is enough.
