Material linked from bioinformatics course

Amino acid information Knowledge about the 20 amino acids is, no matter how important, not part of the exam-material. Nevertheless...

Figure 13. Load the file AA20.pdb in yasara. This is obviously not a real protein, but someting we made up. It just holds the 20 amino acids in a rather weird conformation. The 20 icons underneath the question are there in case you do not know all residues perfectly by heart yet.

Question 3:

  1. Which is the smallest residue?
  2. Which is the largest residue?
  3. Which are the negatively charged residues?
  4. Which are the positively charged residues?
  5. Which are the alcoholic residues?
  6. Which are the most hydrophobic residues?
  7. Which are the most flexible residues?
  8. Which are the most rigid residues?

Be aware, some questions can be interpreted in multiple ways, if so, answer them multiple times.
