These web pages contain a series of lists that might give protein structure bioinformaticians a head-start with their research projects. These pages do NOT contain beautifully worked out complicated structure calculations, but are more meant to provide the stupid footwork. So, you will find pages that hold information about accessibility of residues, torsion angles, cavities, residue contacts, structure validation scores, etc. |
It is possible to request novel data-types. If WHAT IF can produce the data then a request for an extra set of datafiles will probably be honoured within a few weeks.
If you want data for PDB-files that are not (yet) accessible from wwPDB, then feel free to use the WHAT IF servers (Albeit that they went down, and I cannot get that fixed till two weeks after I got my corona vaccine).
If you are reading this, you are a bioinformatician, and you understand directory structures, the wget command, rsync, etc. I haven′t invested much time in making these pages beautiful; just useful (I hope).
All data-files are flat, text files that should be usable at any operating system. However, we work with Linux, so if you are not using Linux, it is not guaranteed that we can answer non-scientific questions related to the files.
