The EU NewProt project is a collaborative EU project in which two leading academic groups (the CMBI in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and the Bornscheuer group at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt university of Greifswald, Germany) joint forces with eight strong and talented high-tech SMEs to design the protein engineering software of the future.

At December 1 2011 the EU NewProt protein engineering project officially started, and at January 25 2012 the partners held their first project meeting.
